Override from Child Theme: sections/wp/section.postnav.php

I would like to add something to the file sections/wp/section.postnav.php from my Child theme but when I place it in the identical folder structure under my Child theme and add HTML nothing changes - what is the correct way to override this file? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like you will have to edit /wp/section.postnav.php directly as there are no filters or hooks. I will add a couple, will be in 1.5.1
