800 Wide - constant reset layout tedium

Please can you tell me why my layouts keep going to pot - I have to constantly reset back to 960 as it changes automatically to 800...

What version of PP are you on? This should have been resolved in the most recent versions

In updates it says all themes are up to date... In Themes - My current theme is platformbase? 1.3.1 I have two other themes not activated Platform 1.2.5 Also Platform Pro 1.3.1 Shuldnt it auto update? Looking in support FAQ's for the downloads...

Gone into my launchpad...I assume the downloads their are the updated versions, not the old ones I downloaded? No indication of release date..

Well I ignored the "platform base" zip as I assume thats up to date...after reading the change log that talked up a 1.5 I assumed that the file to download was an updated version....so I tried uploaded the Platformpro file assuming it was 1.5, and it said there already is one called platform pro (no shit!)....so I changed the name of the zip file to platformpronew...as the read me file suggests....and that didnt work either... if anyone has any strength out there...please give me some. Many thanks.

What you'll need to do is change the OLD folder to something like "platformpro-OLD" and then upload the new one. As I understand it, the theme requires "platformpro" to be the parent theme.

mmm well if you change the "old file" to platformpro-old (using an ftp manager I assume) - then the wordpress interface doesnt work so you cant load a new theme? Great read me file instructions from Pagelines!

Ok think I've done it....I activated a completely seperate theme. (The original wordpress)....renamed the platform 1.3.1 to platformpro-old using ftp.....then installed the theme through wordpress upload using the completely different theme...then re-activated PlatformProbase....which I now assume is "talking" to 1.5 now....which is called platformpro...took all morning. Better read me intructions please pagelines! Is their an upgrade for Platform Base also?! Perhaps I should do the same thing in case....

Yes you probably should, update notifications were introduced with 1.4 and full automated upgrades came with 1.5, so if you have both up to date now your good to go.
