Font type and size main content area

Recommended Posts

After managing to reduce the global size of fonts using Body in css...the entry_content or main content area seems to have a mind of its own and be a different size and font - I need to change it... http://www.businessinteriors.co.uk/betatest/wordpress First off I used firebug to locate it...it seems as though the main central entry area is #entry_content ...when I played with it in firebug...say deleting a few words (I couldnt test changing font or size for some reason), it tells me that the content area is Serif and font size 16px?! I'd like to change this to Arial and 11px like the rest of my site.... First off....why would the content area be Serif? I've changed all global fonts to Arial (except headings). So why is that? Also - when you got to edit page - you can seem to select H1-H6 Paragraph etc...for the content - where are the global settings for this? I've tried selecting "paragraph" assuming this will get back to Arial but it doesnt work - should I be editing the type in this area? Lastly I tried to change font size for these boxes (content areas) manually using CSS. This area appears to be called #entry_content {font-size: 11px} but it didnt work...and I dont know how to change the font to Arial... Thanks for help...

Ok...well using firebug...highlight the text element in the middle of my hoem page say the "Business Interiors specialises in Office Interior projects from 2,000 to 75,000 sq/ft".....make sure the "computed tag is highlighted so you can see the font-family and font-size...now start changing the text, deleting a few words etc...the computed section changes to serif and 16px...weird... anyway -I need the main content text to be the same as the links and the post thumbs....can you help? Also the header for thew three boxes at the bottom - I'd like them to match the other headers...lucida grande capitals with the line underneath...is this easily done too?

Mmm yes...its still not easy, but getting there. I've found a solution for the main content area - its a great plug-in called "Dean's FCKEditor For Wordpress" - its sounds abit funny - but it totally transforms the standard wordpress editor for the main content area with tables...fonts sizes etc.. it's pretty good! In fact I'm attaching an image to show you! TEmA0.jpg http://imgur.com/TEmA0.jpg
