puntNL 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2011 Probably a stupid question, but nevertheless: What does this mean in the menu Header &Nav: Use Child Pages for Secondary Nav: use this options if you want child pages in secondary nav instead of WP menus? It is unclear to me what is meant by the child pages menu vs WP menu.. I'm working allready in the platform child theme, right? Also why does this applies only on the secondary or sub nav? Kate 3 Report post Posted June 6, 2011 It means that child pages (sub pages of the page you would be on) would be shown instead of a WP menu.
puntNL 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2011 Okay, so my homepage (with all the posts) has a main menu that links to the most important pages. If I need another menu (i.e. because of limit space in the main menu) I can make a sub menu to so called childpages? If I don't check the aforementioned box, I don't get a childpage but a wp menu instead? So allways check this box? hmmm :-|
cmunns 16 Report post Posted June 6, 2011 You have to have the "SECONDARY NAV" section active. Check this box if you want the default WP page hierarchy to create the menu for you instead of having to create a custom menu.
