Editing a custom link

Recommended Posts

danceyrselfclean_admin

In order to create a homepage link in the navigation area i have had to create a custom link called home and place it in my custom menu. However im looking to place an image slideshow on my frontpage and was wondering if its possible to actually edit this custom home link and add in the required code. http://www.danceyrselfclean.com/

You can use a Carousel slideshow or a feature slider. You'll just have to pick either one and then go from there by setting it up in the settings and enabling it on the page you want.

Ok but how would i go about getting it on that page, is it even possible at all on a custom page/link like that. I would be able to do it on a normal page by just putting the code on the page but i cant find anywhere to edit this one.

Its not really a custom page, but a custom link i created to be my front page to display my posts on.

Hm, I think I find it difficult to understand because by default, the home page should display the posts, anyway, so there would be no need to create a custom link for those posts. I checked again and realized that the home page a category post page (for the category "uncategorized"). There is no setting for customizing the look of a category page, so customization will be needed.

Just add the features section in either the Header template below the navigation, or on the posts page template or the default template. (all this in Platform Pro Settings -> Template Setup) Then you can selectively hide it on other pages you don't want to see it.

You'll have to check the template setup page that Jimmy mentioned and see if those sections are part of your dropdown list.
