duplicate widgets in the primary sidebar

Why are my widgets being duplicated? I only have two (pages and categories) in the primary sidebar section yet each of these shows up twice on every page. Is there some magic setting that can fix this?

I'm having the same issue - unfortunately, my pagelines-based site is hidden because I have a current (old) website showing and it has to go in maintenance mode for me to edit the new one, so I can't show you what it looks like, but suffice it to say that my two widgets in my primary sidebar are doubled. I currently have a PayPal Donate button and a twitter widget there. I tried to reset by taking off widgets then adding again, but they're still doubled. Did you get this figured out, Kareen? Thanks!

Catrina, I found some advice you gave someone on another post: Go to Settings > Template Setup > select Sidebar 1 from the dropdown menu. What sections are enabled in that template? I took off primary sidebar and it did the trick! I certainly don't know why it did or if I even selected that in the first place, but it worked. I went back to look at the template setup and it hopped back over there, but the duplication problem still seems to be resolved. Strange - but I'm grateful! Amy
