doorknob1 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 I have iBlogPro and I need to make my home page a static, but the static option disappeared. I uninstalled wordpress off of my server and started all over again after about 50 hours of work. I am program illiterate and totally lost. (yes I turned off all the plugins)
timlinson 3 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 but the static option disappeared Not sure what you mean by this.. the option is just gone from Settings > Reading? What's there instead? Maybe you can post a screenshot. Those settings are part of wordpress itself, so if that page is incomplete, it sounds like there's something's wrong with the wordpress installation. doorknob1 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 Tim, its just as you say..you go to Settings> Reading and it starts with "Blog pages show at most.." the static option is gone. Should I try another download? What could I do differently?
timlinson 3 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 WP only shows the 'Front Page displays" option when a page exists. I would double check to make sure that you have at least 1 page created, although iBlog comes with a sample page called "Sample Page" by default.
