Why does it ignore my table attributes?

Recommended Posts

How come when I write a blog post and use tables to display some information, it gives me rows and columns, but ignores my border, cellpadding...etc? It looks in Firebug as though the CSS is prohibiting any attributes in the table. That's kinda crippling. Is there an elegant way to make tables work right again without messing up other things in the Theme? Thank you for your time!

I believe to get tables to work well in Wordpress, you have to use a plugin. Sorry I don't have one to recommend but shouldn't be to hard to find ;)

Jimmy. Thanks for the thought. I disagree. But thank you.

You know what, you may be right, but that only happened in the very latest version, because I have been using tables successfully for a long time up until recently. My apology if I am wrong.

Damn...you were right. Well that stinks. I don't see a plugin that will help much. I'll have to think outside the box. (pun?)

Catrina...thank you very much. You are very kind to point me to this plugin. I will try it. Much happiness to you.

That's a very good choice Catrina, it allows very good CSS control, and lots of options for large tables.
