Arranging boxes

Recommended Posts

friedlandm

Hello community. I've been building a website wherein I'm including little "boxes" profiles of the staff. Each box contains a staff picture and a few lines of copy. My question is, how can I arrange their order?

Hi Ty, Tim's answer above didn't help you?

Hi there, I've installed the post-types-order plugin which seems to work great. reordered the boxes in question. However the page displaying the box set still shows the incorrect order no matter how I re-order. can someone explain, help? thanks

Hi Amir, You're selecting the boxset directly? What I mean is you're not allowing the page to just use the "default" set, correct? Any chance we can get a link to your site?

Hey Amir, We could "fix" it by just changing the float:

.dcol{float:right !important;}

But, that doesn't really get to the crux of the issue. Do you have any other plugins active? Perhaps try deactivating those and seeing if the problem persists...

Hi kate, thanks for the workaround. that fixed the boxes on that particular page. however, another box set displayed on this page is in the reverse order: http://www.apoint2share.com/ppartners/diensten/ I deactivated many of my plugins but that didn't help. I thought maybe the pagemash plugin was interfering as it also has a re-ordering functionality (for pages only) thanks for your help so far. any other css workarounds for the new page in question? amir

Kate, I thought I'd add the following issue here as well since its seems related I think. The features on the home page are also showing up in the incorrect order: http://www.apoint2share.com/ppartners/ (Should be Kennis -- Inspiratie ---Actie) Do others also report problems with ordering? or is it just me?

Hey Amir, If you still have the CSS in place that I suggested, that could be responsible for the re-ordering on the home page. Did you try deactivating all plugins?
