Post excerpt edit widget disappears

I've noticed that after activating Platform Pro, the usual "excerpt" field widget disappears from the Posts edit screen. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, why would the framework cause that to happen?

Hi Taylor, I haven't experienced that. But, try this: In the top right corner there's a link that says "Screen Options". That will cause a drop down menu (of sorts) to pop down. Make sure the excerpt option is set to appear, if it's not checked already.

Kate - that's EXACTLY what happened! BUT PlatformPro is what causes it to become un-checked. Anyone know why the theme does this?
