add drop down navigation to custom menu

please how do i add drop down navigation to a custom menu on platform. I was told that they needed to be nested... But i dont know what that means! Can anyone show me how? Maybe with a tutorial

You can just drag the menu entries slightly to the right so that they're indented. There are a lot of tutorials you can find about WP3 menus. e.g.
