Have PlatformPro, want EcoPro, is this additional purchase?

Recommended Posts

Hi all Couple questions: I have PlatformPro and have used it for a site I developed. Now I wish to explore EcoPro for an entirely different site. Do I need to buy a whole new thing to create this additional site? And, do I use PlatformPro BASE and download the EcoPro theme? Just how does all this stuff work - usage-wize? Also, what do you get/lose with EcoPro that's not in PlatformPro? Is it just color stuff or additional functionality? Thanks JEO

Yes, you will need to purchase EcoPro separately.
And, do I use PlatformPro BASE and download the EcoPro theme?
You download PlatformBase and PlatformPro first then you activate PlatformBase to make changes. EcoPro is a separate theme.
Also, what do you get/lose with EcoPro that's not in PlatformPro? Is it just color stuff or additional functionality?
The following things are in PlatformPro but not included in EcoPro: -Drag and Drop template setup -Layout Editor -Design Control -Typography -Features such as Boxes, Soapboxes, Callout section, Banners, etc. Here's what is in EcoPro but not in Platform Pro: -Different color schemes It also helps to look at the demo for EcoPro here: http://www.pagelines.com/demos/ecopro/

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi Catrina Thanks for the reply. SO to be clear, would I need to have Platform Pro, PlatformBase AND EcoPro all purchased, downloaded and installed on the new site host to use EcoPro AND have the flexibility of the features you mention above (drag and drop, layout...) Can you just have the EcoPro without PlatformPro, and just live without the drag and drop, etc? Asked another way, can you create all you get with EcoPro by manipulating Platform Pro? And can you use EcoPro (or any of your other themes) WITHOUT also having PlatformPro/Base? Thanks for the help je

Hi John, Have you checked out test.pagelines.com? I recommending testing it as you can "test drive" our themes there before purchasing them. Also, hopefully to clarify: At this time, all of our themes are independent of each other. The developers are working on a feature for the near future that would allow our non-PlatformPro themes to function as child themes of PP. BTW: PlatformPro and PlatformBase are part of the same purchase... You don't have to buy them separately. And, if you're going to be creating more sites with our themes, you may want to look into the developer's license and one of our "package" deals.

Hi Kate Thanks for reply. Wondering how clearly my question is coming across? So EcoPro, ect are independent of PlatformPro and Base. Is that correct? If ya have platformpro/base, you CANNOT add EcoPro or the others at this time - correct? No way of having drag-drop templates ect w/EcoPro because one cannot use EcoPro w/platformpro because they are independent - Correct? thanks
