SideBar Display Issues - WhiteHousePro

Recommended Posts

inetengineers

Am just finishing off the configuration of a WhiteHouse Pro blog at http://i-netengineers.com/ All works fine accept that the Side Bar and Footer with their respective Widgets on the Blog Home Page at http://i-netengineers.com/blog/ is not displaying. Yet the same side bars on an actual Post Page display fine and without issues. Have tried disabling Widgets and re-enabling without success. The same issue happens in IE8, FF, Chrome. Can anyone help please?

maybe a markup issue in one of your posts? A live link would help. Have you run a W3 validation and installed Firebug for Firefox?

The page in question is at http://i-netengineers.com/blog/ a working page is any one of the post pages e.g. http://i-netengineers.com/business-life/sorry-i-dont-do-email/ - the side bar of which displays fine. A W3C validation test does bring up a load of errors, none of which seem to be related to the actual posts. removing a load of posts doesn't solve the issue. Unfortunately, not being a developer Firebug doesn't help me. Any further ideas welcome.

that's crazy... I've never seen that before. Did you change anything in the code?

No - I have added in a couple of extra plugins (which work fine in themselves) and have added some form code to the "Text/HTML" widget in the side bar. Removing this widget doesn't solve the issue. Would it be possible for your developers to take a look at this? I'm sure it's a mark-up issue as you say. But it's beyond me to sort out. I'll give you all the FTP details/admin login as required (in an email of course) if you want. I'm prepared to pay a preagreed fee/rate for this service if necesary in order to get it sorted as it's driving me mad.

Right - I think I've solved it. I reduced down the number of displaying blog exerts on the page http://i-netengineers.com/blog/ from 9 to 4 and as such the page renders fine now. Absolutely bizarre!
