Twitter changed the syntax - Need Help - Tweet Button

Recommended Posts

Here is what Pagelines wrote to me about this problem. Please advise. Thanks for reporting the issue! From what I see, Twitter changed the syntax for tweets and implemented a new system called "Web Intents". You can read more about it on the official Twitter website. I will let our developers know about this and they will probably issue an update for it. I am not exactly sure how to change it manually, but you can post on the premium support forums and our experts will help you change the syntax! :) Here is a tip. The actual syntax is http://twitter.com/home?status=http://tinyurl.com/6795ng4. If you remove the :home" part, it should be alright. So http://twitter.com/?status=http://tinyurl.com/6795ng4 works :) I'm just not sure how to change it, as my technical abilities are limited compared to those of my colleagues' in the forums.

What is the version number of the theme you're using? (You can check in Appearance > Themes)

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

You might be looking for it in Appearance > Editor. You probably need to use ftp to get to that file.. I don't see it in the WP editor. Not sure, but the WP editor might not go that deep into the dir heirarchy.
