small menus ibolg demo highlight page - how?

I am looking at the ibog demo and the HIGHLIGHT page example and I see a small menu above the HIGHLIGHT box (Blue Scheme, Black Scheme, Highlight Page). How do I create one of these small menus - it would be very helpful on my portfolio pages to show sub categories of subjects Thanks! Flo

This is the sub-nav. There should be an option under the BLOG and post settings to add category ID's which will be used in the subnav
