rainbowmosaics 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2011 Is it possible to change the layout of the blog page (posts) to be a highlight page or will it always default to the posts being on top with no highlight box? I created a page called BLOG in my custom menu so I can use a page called HOME as my homepage, then went to the BLOG page options and selected the HIGHLIGHT STANDARD template, but it stills shows up the same way - as the default blog layout. My ultimate goal is to go back to having the BLOG posts as my home page, but I would like some sort of introductory graphic above the posts. Highlight is fine - feature is too large. Thanks! www.ohmayablog.com
Kate 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2011 Hi Flo, Either way it's doable, either as you originally had the homepage, or as a static. But, as it was originally: Go into "Settings->Template Setup". For the "Posts Pages" dropdown item, simply drag the highlight option over.

Kate 3 Report post Posted May 18, 2011 I see Flo... my apologies. So, let's go with the second option then. That "Blog" page you created: in the far right column of the page edit screen you'll see a template dropdown. Assign it the Highlight template. Then, go to "Settings->Reading". Choose to use a "static" page as the posts page. And, from the dropdown choose the "Blog" page. NOTE: You won't be able to assign this as your home page as well, unfortunately.
