Platform Pro and iBlogPro together?

Recommended Posts

I just purchased iBlogPro and PlatformPro bec. I need the adjustability of PlatformPro with the look of iBlogPro. I now see that both are themes and I cannot activate both at the same time. Is there a possibility to have PlatformPro with the look of iBlogPro?? Thank you in advance

It's possible with some CSS customization and adjusting the appearance controls in Settings > Design Control (among other settings in the Dashboard).

I want to do the same thing as Ludwig. Catrina can you give more clarity on how to make the PlatformPro nav look like the iBlogPro nav? Thanks!

Hi David, Down the road the two themes will be compatible, iBlog working as a child theme of PlatformPro. But, at the moment, you'll just have to do the customizations via CSS, as Catrina said. Since you already have the iBlog CSS, you'll just need to copy the CSS that you want to mimic. But, you'll most likely have to change the identifiers (the IDs and class names) on at least many of the lines.

Kate, thanks for letting me know that "down the road" iBlog will be a child of PlatformPro - I juts hope that road isn't a long one! And thanks for pointing me to the CSS stuff, I'll be digging into that today.

Was anyone able to make the navigation of iBlog Pro 4 appear in Platform Pro through CSS? I don't know where to start. Thanks in advance!

To start, you'll need the menu item gradient background first. This can be uploaded to your WordPress panel and it can be implemented using a code that looks like this
ul#menu-main-menu li.menu_item {background-image: (url:'http://FULLIMAGEURLHERE');}
