Help styling a form?

Recommended Posts

I just installed Gravity Forms and need some direction on nmaking the forms look decent. I can apply a CSS class to fields, but I am totally new at CSS. Can someone point me in the right direction. Here is the current "ugly" version: http://www.customseedpacks.com/contact/ Thanks!

If you have Firebug (http://getfirebug.com/), the form can be styled easily. You can use it to identify the correct CSS selectors for what you want to edit. (Here's a tutorial on how to Firebug to make CSS customizations: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic.php?id=6930) Here's an example that will change the styling of the "Your Name" input field (this will change the text field itself, not the "Your Name" label):

input.input_1_1 {color: #xxxxxx; font-family: FONTNAME; background-color: #xxxxxx;}

Each input field has a different class. For example, the "Your Name" input field has a class called input_1_1 (as shown in the CSS above). Hence, each CSS selector (i.e. input.input_1_1) will take on this format: input.CLASSNAMEHERE. Does that make sense?
