onkbott 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2011 http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/9086 was the first time this happened. "Issue setting layout a" is all I got when i tried to view or admin the site. The only solution was to delete both Platform themes. The site worked perfectly without them. But once uploaded back to server, all went "Issue setting..." I gave up and rebuilt it. Spent time on it. Got stuff working. Published... Its back. I only wanted to change "Continue Reading" phrase to something else and all went to hell again. "Issue setting layout a" everywhere... . .. . . .. Im tired. Pissed off.. the question is: is there some REAL support from Pagelines? Because "The first rule of PageLines is that you come first. We truly appreciate your business and support." Is there a way to get help?

onkbott 0 Report post Posted May 12, 2011 hi. the website is back(runfree.cz), as long as I kept hourly backups of the template, but the frustration was enormous.) only thing I can provide at the moment is an error log from the site that says: [Fri May 13 00:42:46 2011] [error] [client 78.80.14.48] FastCGI: server "/srv/www/runfree.cz/php-fcgi/php-fcgi" stderr: PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /srv/www/runfree.cz/web/www/wp-content/themes/platformpro/core/library/class.layout.php on line 187, referer: http://www.runfree.cz/wp-admin/post.php?post=150&action=edit&message=1'>http://www.runfree.cz/wp-admin/post.php?post=150&action=edit&message=1 [Fri May 13 00:42:46 2011] [error] [client 78.80.14.48] FastCGI: server "/srv/www/runfree.cz/php-fcgi/php-fcgi" stderr: PHP Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in /srv/www/runfree.cz/web/www/wp-content/themes/platformpro/core/library/library.functions.php on line 199, referer: http://www.runfree.cz/wp-admin/post.php?post=150&action=edit&message=1'>http://www.runfree.cz/wp-admin/post.php?post=150&action=edit&message=1 Result is blank page with the text: "Issue setting layout a" .. Nothing else. last time the error happened when upgrading WP to newest version, this time it was setting the "Continue reading" string. Weird thing is that this affects both frontend and backend. only solution is to delete/remove both platform folders and activate different theme. At the moment I am a bit scared to use Platform further as long as the behaviour is unpredictable (as it seems to me). Is there anything I can do to provide more info to localize the problem? Thanks a lot.

onkbott 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2011 PHP Version 5.3.2-1 ubuntu4.7 WP version 3.1.1 PlatformPro version: 1.3.5 PlatformBase version: 1.3.2 all tweaking is done in the "base" theme. the problem is that I am unable to reproduce the error. In both cases the error appeared after different actions: 1/ updating WP to 3.1.2 2/ change in platform theme ("Continue reading" string) The one thing I noticed is: the problem seems to be in the database, because the only thing that helps is: change wp database prefix (ie build new db) - than I can use PlatformPro themes again. kastelic 6 Report post Posted May 13, 2011 I will mark this for developer support, but in the meantime, who are you hosting with and have you contacted them about the problem?
Simon 248 Report post Posted May 13, 2011 `2/ change in platform theme ("Continue reading" string)` Yes but what did you change it to? Do you have any plugins installed? Can you try installing the latest versions of the theme?
onkbott 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2011 @Jimmy: hosting is from a private company, who does hosting for the advertising agency I work for. I informed the admin but he could not find anything nonstandard that would point us to a solution. @Simon: "??t?›te d??l" I realized that I may be able to reproduce the "broken" WP site as long as the original db is still untouched. I'll try to get it online over the weekend. Anyway: thanks a lot guys for your time!
