JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Hi. I cant find any explanations on how to make homepage as in the iBlog pro demo. I`m surely not the first asking, and would be very happy if Pagelines or forum members could point me to the information.
JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 I have searched forum and documentation but cant find any info on how to set iBlog up as the demo: http://www.pagelines.com/demos/iblogpro/ May anyone share info on this ?
JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 I just figured out I could call a page Home, use default Feature as template, use it as Homepage in WP settings and hide it from the menu. All good However, now I also have the feature slider in the default blog page set in WP settings. I asked about the blog page in this thread: http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/9282 but I think its appropiate to discuss it in this thread. How may I set a blog page as in the demo, without having the features box as I do by default ?
Kate 3 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Hi John, This actually wouldn't happen by default. It sounds like one of your settings is off. For the blog page, please make sure that you haven't chosen the feature template as well.
JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Hi Kate. Thanks for answering. Does anyone know know how the demo is set up. Usually I should be able to pick any page and chose it as the blog page in WP settings ? Static page is chosen as frontpage, and a page called news is chosen as blog page, but the blog page uses the Features slider box, and it doesnt matter what template I chose for the blog page, its always the same. Which setting may be off ? Feature template is not chosen.
JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 Hi again Kate. Are you referring to a WordPress setting or a Pagelines iBlog setting. I cant see any settings in iBlog that should be relevant for this problem.
JohnMagic 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2011 It was a setting. Thanks Kate.
