Sidebar Problems

Recommended Posts

dionjwilliams

No matter what I do... I cannot get my sidebar to be on the SIDE of my page. Whether I have a featured slider or not. My side bar is always the full width of the page and under my featured slider or boxes or whatever I have on the page instead of being right next to it. PLEASE HELP! Because this is very frustrating.

Apparently you have placed the universal sidebar in the header template, reason why it is full width. You also have the featured slider there, meaning it will show in every single page. Ricardo

Thanks Ricardo, So i have removed it from the header. But now I can't get it to show up on the side. I have the boxes template for my "Services" page with the universal sidebar on it but nothing is showing. I also am using the layout that has the content area and the single sidebar on the right... Any clue why its not showing?

Are you planning on adding any content to that content area or have you done that already and it's not showing up either?

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

I've already tried to add content like posts and still the sidebars ends up being full width!

I think you are being misguided by the name of it. Although it's called universal sidebar, it's not a "true" sidebar, so if you place it alone in an area, it will stretch to occupy that area like it has been happening so far. It won't act like the primary or secondary sidebar. Ricardo

Ok. So I've tried adding posts and boxes but still no luck. I am no longer using the universal sidebar. I'm using the primary sidebar. Has anyone else had any problems with their sidebars??

You have another thread where you are discussing changes made to be able to use the featured slider inside the content area and have a sidebar all the way up there. Have you introduced such changes here? Ricardo
