Embedded codes disappearing. Please help.

I am building newspaper for j-school and this means embedding soundslides and youtube videos. The links are embedded fine. But if I edit the post, they disappear. I am bewildered. How can I make sure that this stops happening? I'll appreciate any suggestions.
