Transparent Navigation Bar with Drop Down Menu?

Recommended Posts

MusicGal

Here's a link to my site: http://www.tylergilmoremusic.com/ When I do not have Drop-Down Menu's enabled, the navigation menu has a transparent background (except on the selected page). When I enabled drop-down menu, the entire navigation bar adopts a white background, which I don't like. Can anyone help me with the CSS so that my navigation bar has a transparent background?

Hey Alaina, I think it's my connection but the page isn't loading for me. What I recommend: reviewing your CSS and looking for "opacity" declarations in the nav. Then copy that to the CSS that applies to your dropdown menu CSS. Are you using Firebug? That should help you out a lot.

I have firebug and was looking around at the code. But still couldn't quite find my answer. Can anyone who's able to load the page take a look?

Try this: `.sf-menu li, #primary-nav ul.sf-menu a:focus, .sf-menu a:hover, .sf-menu a:active {background:transparent!important;}`

It's working now, but is there a value I can add so the dropdown has a background when the cursor is hovering over it?

OR rather, so the entire dropdown has a background while the cursor is hovering over the menu? At present, the text in the dropdown gets a little obscured by the banner.
