timothy 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2011 Hey, Does it take the changes made to the Layout Template slider a few hours to kick in, or is it just me? After I drag the widths for changes, I don't see them take effect until some time later- it's not instant. This is "normal" right? And same goes for Design Control color changes? timlinson 3 Report post Posted April 29, 2011 You should see changes as soon as they're saved. Are you using WP Super Cache or some other type of caching plugin?
timothy 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2011 No. No cache plugin. I'm looking at my layout editor right now. The dimensions are Main Content Width: 662, and Sidebar 1 Width: 310. It's in Full Width Design Framework. But for some reason, my Viddler playlist, which is a widget added into the sidebar and set to width: 300... the sidebar is not taking up the appropriated 310 pixels, and thus my platlist looks cut in half. URL: spiritualmembers.com/astralprojection UN: manofbliss PW: malvern3 Under the Home page in the account menu tab You see the sidebar is way off to the right and cutting into the margin. I'm essentially looking to duplicate the layout of a Youtube viewing page.
timothy 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2011 Hey Tim, please disregard my previous post. I've changed it to Fixed Width Mode and the sizes do change. But my original point remains: I just changed the background color, saved it, and the refreshed and it's still black, and not white.
Simon 248 Report post Posted April 30, 2011 You or you host has set ETAGS and cache control headers for css and image files. The css file has an expire time of 2 months. You can see here: http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php Put your css file in: http://www.spiritualmembers.com/astralprojection/wp-content/uploads/pagelines/dynamic.css You should be able to change this with some .htaccess directives.
