Header image not matching up with site content...

I uploaded this image on a default install.. its 960 pixels. It sits to the right, and ends up being too big. Any smaller and it would still look funny because its not the same width at the features. Is there a fix? http://www.cowildlife.com/

Hi Chris! You are using the image logo as a header background image, which is not it's intended purpose. You can try to add this to your PlatformPro > Settings > Custom Code > Custom CSS Rules:

#branding .content-pad  { background: url('http://www.cowildlife.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/header_phone.jpg') no-repeat; }

To make this work properly you need to make a version without the round logo and use that as the background; then make another image with just the round logo and upload it in the same place you added the current one. With some luck, then it's just a matter of adding some spacing to make it look good. Ricardo

To center it remove the padding with: ` .fixed_width #branding .content-pad { padding: 20px 0px 15px; } ` in your custom code - custom css panel in the PP SETTINGS.

Adam, Thats the ticket! What about the code for the fixed width with canvas design mode though? I switched to that, and your fix doesn't work. I also tried: .fullwidth #branding .content-pad { padding: 20px 0px 15px; } It's amazing how much CSS one has to know to work this "drag and drop" theme :)

You guys rock. I actually just ended up with: #branding .content-pad { padding: 20px 0px 15px; } Thanks for all your help!

Hi Everyone I had this same problem and the custom CSS worked perfectly (using Chris Miller's code above)! However, I'd also like to remove some space between the header logo and the main nav. Anyway to do this? Here's the site I'm working on with Platform Pro: http://www.huntforcouncil.com/

Marc, The shorthand for CSS padding and margin elements is given clockwise and starts at 12, the top, which makes Chris' code something like this: padding: 20px (top) 0px (right) 15px (bottom) __ (left - omitted); Change 15 to 0 (zero) and if that is not enough add this:

#branding .content-pad, #branding .branding_wrap { padding-bottom: 0; margin-bottom: 0; }
