Ken Burns transition for features?

Recommended Posts

grt

Hi all, I desperately want to achieve a 'Ken Burns' transition effect between slides in the features set-up, but cannot do it. Normally, on slide show applications that don't have the feature installed, it is possible to achieve the effect by making the transition time really long and the slide duration really short, but in this case it doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve it? Many thanks, Glyn

I know what the Ken Burns effect looks like, but I have not used any slideshows that have the effect. I searched and found this slideshow plugin that has the effect: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/showtime-slideshow/ You might want to check it out.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Hi Catrina, Thanks for your reply. I have actually already got that plug-in, do you know if it is possible to use it with 'features', for example the same way you would a YouTube video? Thanks, Glyn

No it's not possible. You could maybe use a callback function with the current slider, but it would be relatively complicated and I'm not sure off the top of my head how hard that would be to accomplish although you could post in the jquery forum asking if anyone knows how to apply the ken burns to the jquery cycle plugin using callbacks.
