Help with posting youtube videos into my blog.

I am trying to post a youtube video in my blog and I followed the instructions from this video http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/ and it will not work when I publish it in my posts. It seems simple but all I get is the code I put in but no video. Please help.

Hi Jeffrey! The instructions found in Wordpress.com apply only to their hosting service (http://yourblogaddress.wordpress.com) and not to the self hosted wordpress sites. You have two options, embed or plugin. To embed go to Settings > Media and activate auto-embeds. Pasting the url (without any shortcodes around it) will display the video. Plugins there's more or less a billion, but I like oohEmbed and Embedly. Ricardo

Recardos advice makes it easy for embedding videos if you can get it to work.
