Simple Tags not displaying cloud

Even having disabled all plugins, my WP default 'tag cloud' widget displays a simple flat list and no 'cloud'. Having tried both 'Better Tag Cloud' and 'Simple Tags' plugins, there is no change at all. Can anyone please suggest what the problem might be: [url=http://animalbehaviour.gomedia.co.za/blog/]null

Hi Mike, I believe, at least for the WP widget, that it's the default functionality. If you switch to the default (WP) TwentyTen theme does it appear as you want?

Same problem with TwentyTen, both with all plugins deactivated (except WP-DBManager with my backups), and with 'Simple Tags' activated.

Hi Adam The problem is that neither the 'Simple Tags' plugin, nor the 'Better Tag Cloud' plugin change anything from that default widget appearance, even with all my other plugins deactivated (except WP-DBManager which I don't want to lose my backups from). They also don't do a thing when I replace PBase with TwentyTen and try them, also with all the plugins deactivated (except DBManager). Could this be a problem with the WP installation?

Thanks for the input - just installed and activated WP-Cirrus and that seems to work fine.
