Change comment reply background to specific color

I did a quick look, but didn't see a comment about this, but if it's been answered, please point me in the right direction. I'm using the Full-Width Design with Canvas with a black background because I love the way it looks. Unfortunately, when people reply to comments, the replies use the Page Background Color. Black on Black... sad. I'm not sure where I need to edit that in the .css or if it's a setting I'm missing, but I'd love someone who's better at coding than me to give me a hand....
