Secondary Nav in Site Header - Only Available on Home Page

Recommended Posts

Recently I added the Secondary Nav (drag n drop) to the Platform Pro Site Header template area. And here is me thinking that if I add the Secondary Nav to my Header that I should be able to see it on all pages of my site! Well, much to my chagrin I can only see my Secondary Nav on the Home Page. It doesnt appear on a page or post page at all. Yes, I have checked the Pagelines Section Control sidebar in the post/page editing area and the 'Hide Secondary Nav' is unchecked. Any ideas?

You have to select a secondary nav menu for the posts pages under the global Page and Post Options.

So does this mean you have to create a secondary nav menu? I thought this was created by the parent/child page attributes?

Hi Andrew,

You have to select a secondary nav menu for the posts pages under the global Page and Post Options.
Do you mean 'Settings > Header and Nav' Like this... LYpL8.png Still doesn't work

Yes that is what i meant. If you are on a category page it won't show up, but at any rate we are working on improving this theme functionality.

Ok guys, I was digging around in the forums and Tim came up with the answer... - manually create separate custom menus to used as page subnavs - go to the edit page for each parent page - scroll down to PageLines Meta Settings > General Page Setup - select the appropriate menu in the "Select Secondary Nav Menu" dropdown Problem solved. Happy happy, joy joy!

Bit of an oldie, but thanks very much for that Kevin! Been messing around with it for ages. Joy indeed!
