There are Google fonts, which do not appear in the Pro version drop-down. 1) How can I add them? and 2) What is the "Advanced" box for?

If you want to add more fonts, you can use the TypeKit settings below the top typography settings. The advanced box is for adding selectors that will change the font styling of text other than the secondary text and other text (if you wish).

If you are using the PlatformBase child theme, there is an example in functions.php how to add custom google fonts.

Catrina, thanks for the info about the advanced box, that helps. I'm not sure I asked the other part of my question very clearly. Google has this page http://www.google.com/webfonts which shows all the different fonts available through their service. Some of the fonts they show, I'd like to use in my theme but they're not available from the select font drop-downs in the Pagelines Typography admin section. I'm wondering if it is possible somehow to use these other Google fonts?

I would love to know the proper way to add advanced selectors. For example, change fontsize, etc. Syntax? Thanks!

I'd also like to use other fonts included in Google's directory. But, they are not all shown in the Platform list. How can I add them? Do I need to do that through custom CSS?

There's actually a great plugin called "wp google font" that will easily let you change the font of your headings. I just found it today!
