scottwgraves 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2011 Hello - I realize you guys are busy making improvements to an outstanding platform and beautiful themes, but without solid documentation, you simply are not offering a "premium" product. If I wanted to hunt, and peck, and guess how to make adjustments, I could download one of thousands of free themes. Let me be constructive and specific... 1. It seems like you start each piece of documentation at step 3 and make a huge assumption the user already knows how to do steps 1 and 2. For example, when I need to know how to activate feature boxes on a specific theme, the documentation should specifically say what to click and offer a detailed explanation about each step. 2. Theme-specific documentation. Why in the world would a link to documention in the White House theme take me to general and generic information about the Platform Pro? Enough said. 3. It is amazing how many basic and specific questions are unresolved in the support forums. The forums could be a huge resource for developers like myself. Instead, they offer way more questions than answers. Final thought... At your next staff meeting, even if you tell everyone to stop what they are doing for the next week and focus EXCLUSIVELY on fully documenting your outstanding products, the cost and the minor delays will pale in comparison to the lasting value you will add to your organization and user community. I hope this feedback is received with an open mind. With respect, Scott W. Graves President, The Liberty Lab, Inc. www.thelibertylab.com
kakadong+ 4 Report post Posted April 7, 2011 I can't agree anymore. That's a execellent advice. I hope the stuff of pagelines can pay MORE attention on Document. I have tought Photoshop on my Blog for years. I spent a lot of time to realize that you should think all of you customers are idiots. ^^" You have to teach them more specifically. I am one of your customers. And I still think I can't use your awesome platform pro to it's limit. I wish I could. But I can't get any sense from your Document. That's my opinion. Thanks .
