Use Categories/Tags on Pages (instead of posts)? WHP

I'm using White House Pro and for the most part, the site is going to be static. Nearly all of it will be built using Pages and not Posts. I would still like to categorize the pages and use tags if at all possible. I know it's not the way WP is meant to be used, but is there any way to do this- plugin, code, etc? I haven't seen anything in my searches and probably not possible, but figured I'd see if anyone has tried this or done this in the past... Thanks much!

One way to think about categorizing your pages is by making all pages in the same "category" be "child-pages" of whatever that category is. OR use a plugin http://www.michelem.org/wordpress-plugin-tags4page/
