Content Background for Home/Front Page

Recommended Posts

Pagelines Pro I cannot locate the css for putting a background image in the content area for the front page only.

#maincontent .content{background:url(http://yoursite.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/imagehere.png) no-repeat;
	}

will do this for all content pages.

It depends what your front page is. If it's the blog page, add `.blog` to your selectors. If you set a static page as your front page, view the html source of your page and look for the opening <body> tag. It will have "page-id-###" class, so add `.page-id-###` to your rule.

This is the body class source:

<body class="home page page-id-2 page-template page-template-page-base-php logged-in admin-bar canvas ttype-base tmain-default">

I tried this:
#maincontent .content page-id-2{background:url(http://yoursite.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/imagehere.png) no-repeat;
	}
and this
#maincontent .page-id-2 .content{background:url(http://yoursite.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/imagehere.png) no-repeat;
	}

and did not work... am I putting in right order?

I meant this.. as the first code

#maincontent .content .page-id-2{background:url(http://yoursite.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/imagehere.png) no-repeat;
	}
