realigning icons bar

Recommended Posts

Hi I have added 2 buttons to my icons bar but would like to realign them so they are on one line. I can move the rss/twitter/facebook buttons but not the others. Any suggestions? www.creativecheshire.com Thanks!

The icons can be re-aligned using CSS. What coding did you use to realign the icons bar and add the two icons? Did you edit any file directly?

Hi Catrina I updated the branding template php - as per the advice on this really long query of mine http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/7793 ! I then updated the custom code with this; "div.icons { width: 500px; font-size: 10.5px; } a.facebooklink{margin-left:50px; font-size: 80%;} a.twitterlink{margin-left:40px; font-size: 80%;} a.rsslink{margin-left:60px; font-size: 80%; } .icons a { float: left;} .icons a span { padding-left:27px; }"

You need to put classes on those new links so that you can target them with CSS, for example

`< a class = "homelink" href = "THEURL">Home`

"< a class = "homelink" href="<http://www.creativecheshire.com>"><span>HOME</span>" I changed it to this and now get the actual html showing up instead of HOME - where's the error? Thanks!

also the href link has extra brackets: `href="`<`http://www.creativecheshire.com`>`"` btw the backtick (left of the "1" key in the top left on most keyboards) is what lets you embed code.
