Customing base.css

I'm having trouble changing the colour of feature headings. I'm using the following code which has no effect: H2.ftitle{ color: #7D7D7D; } I've also tried being more specific but this has worked either - see code below: body #feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h2{ color: #7D7D7D; }

Hey Steve, Did you try h2.ftitle? Or even "#feature h2.ftitle"?

Hey Steve, can you post a link to the site?

I've just switched to developing this site on a local MAMP install - I got fed up waiting on page reloads. The weird thing is that what I'm trying o do works on the old online version - see here When I view what is happening in the online version in Firebug, it works as expected, see below:

#feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h2 {
	    color: #7D7D7D;
	}
	base.css (line 120)
	#feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h1, #feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h2, #feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h3, #feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h4, #feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h5 {
	    color: #FFFFFF;
	}
But if I view it in Firebug on my local site it looks like this:
#feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent h1, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent h2, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent h3, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent h4, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-lightbg .fcontent h5, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent h1, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent h2, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent h3, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent h4, #feature_slider .fcontainer.fstyle-nobg .fcontent h5 {
	    color: #000000;
	    text-shadow: none;
	}
	pro.cs...1160818 (line 157)
	#feature_slider .fcontainer .fcontent h2 {
	    color: #7D7D7D;
	}

So what seems to be happening in my local version is that pro.css is overriding the what I put in base.css.

Maybe your local install is using PlatformPro instead of PlatformBase. Can you double check Appearances > Themes to make sure that PlatformBase is activated on your MAMP install?

Checked that - current theme is PlatformBase.
