Moving FeatureNav numbers from footer to slider

Recommended Posts

How would I go about changing the overlay layout to have a custom background and moving the Feature Numbers to the right of the feature text on the bottom overlay of the feature slider, rather than in the feature footer, and then hiding the feature footer? Should I try through CSS or what should I edit in PlatformBase?

Here is the CSS that I used in base.css to move the navigation numbers to the right. Use, numbers, the default overlay and text at the bottom with the styles below. I customized the background image of the overlay. The code seems to have worked, but I've not yet tested cross browser... #featurenav {float:right; margin-top:-30px; width:200px;} /* @ Feature Text Area "fcontent" */ #feature_slider .fcontent { background: url(/ikanews/wp-content/themes/platformbase/images/slider-back-trans.png); color: #fff; text-shadow: #000 0 -1px 0 ; font-size: 1.2em; line-height: 1.55em; display: inline; position: relative; } #feature_slider .text-bottom .fcontent .fheading { padding: 0 10px; float: none; width: 33%; background: url(../images/hl-vert.png) repeat-y right top; } #feature_slider .text-bottom .fcontent .fheading H2{ font-size:14px; } #feature_slider .text-bottom .fcontent .ftext { font-size: 10px; padding: 3px 20px 3px 10px; line-height: 1.5em; height: 35px; overflow:hidden; float: none; width: 72%;} #feature_slider .fcontainer.text-bottom .fcontent{ float:none; position: absolute; bottom: 0px; left: 0px; z-index: 200; width: 100%; height: 63px; font-size: 1em; } #featurenav a, #feature-footer span.playpause{ padding: 4px 5px 3px 6px; margin-right: 8px; font-size: 10px; border: 1px solid #cecece; border-left: 1px solid #c1c1c1; border-top: 1px solid #c1c1c1; } #featurenav a.activeSlide{ background: #ccc; border: 1px solid #bbb; border-left: 1px solid #999; border-top: 1px solid #999; } #feature-footer{ border: none; } #feature-footer .feature-footer-pad{ border-top: none; border-left: none; padding:0px; }
