Positioning of Content Background Image

Recommended Posts

alisamski

PageLine Pro Trying to position a background image in the content area. added this code

#page .content-pad{background:url(http://mysite.com/wp/footprints.jpg) no-repeat;
	}

The image gets placed above the header/branding area. Tried margin-top:135px however that moved everything down including the branding area. What is the correct "area" for a background to the entire content area incl. sidebar areas? My firebug showed content-pad.

I have this for swapping out just the home page...

#maincontent .home .content{background:url(http://mysite.com/wp/footprints.jpg) repeat;}

this worked, however it looked funny in the code. Just checking.
