Recommended Posts

Hi How do I move the search field so it is next to the branding, which is above the navigation bar? Currently the search bar is beside it. Thanks

Hi Jennifer, You can use an action hook like

add_action("pagelines_branding_icons_end", "get_search_form");

to put a search box next to the branding. Then you'll just need to hide the old search box in the PlatformPro settings > Header and Nav > Hide Search. This link has some nice info if you need help with hooks. Actually the video has a walkthrough of a very similar example. http://www.pagelines.com/docs/base-child-theme Hope this helps, Tim

Jennifer, the Custom Code box is for the CSS code, not the hook that Tim posted. If you're working with hooks, you need to open the functions file (Appearance > Editor > functions.php). The tutorial link posted above is very helpful if you are implementing a hook for the first time.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.

Uncomment the first line so instead of `//add_action('pagelines_before_branding_icons', 'new_search');` you have: ` add_action('pagelines_before_branding_icons', 'new_search'); // function name function new_search(){ get_search_form(); } `

Trying to use this function for wp_loginout, but it is not working yet. www.sips.org add_action('pagelines_after_branding_icons', 'new_login'); // function name function new_login(){ get_wp_loginout(); }
