You are aware that the blog page layout is set under the BLOG and POSTS option panel?

Did you try the section control options for the single posts page?

I think I'm having this same issue. Was any progress made? All I want to be able to do is show the same sidebar on all of my blog related pages--the blog home page, single posts pages, archives pages, categories pages, etc. To do this I tried adding a universal sidebar and populating it. I couldn't even get it to show up anywhere on the blog (trying multiple combinations of check boxes in section control, etc) until I added this 'is_home()' to the widget logic boxes in the widgets in my universal sidebar. Now the correct widgets show up on the blog's front page, but not on single posts pages or categories pages. Blog w/ correct sidebar: http://www.anvilmediainc.com/search-engine-marketing-blog Archive page reverting back to incorrect sidebar: http://www.anvilmediainc.com/2011/04/05 Any help? Thanks.

Do you mean in section control for an individual post? If so, I didn't because of this note right above all of the section control options:

Note: Individual page settings do not work on the blog page (use the settings panel).

The "blog page" in wordpress terminology is only the 1 page that shows all blog posts. Single-post/category/etc pages are not referred to as "blog" pages, even though they show blog posts.

I am having this same issue - no sidebars appearing on a single post page (appears everywhere else I expect). I checked everything setting area of pagelines: layout, sidebar settings, blog and posts etc ... noththing that would indicate why the sidebar (in particular, sidebar1) is not appearing on full page blog posts. I see this has been the subject of several troubleshooting discussion posts here - but while it seems most have ended up in a "Thanks" - I cannot figure out what the magic combination of settings is .. what am I missing?

Ah ... never mind - I got it. That "Layout Editor" leaves a lot to be desired as far as clarity as to what it does. But with enough experimenting (and zero documentation) I guess everyone eventually figures it out.

The solution suggested (marking section controls on post pages) works ... for future posts but want a global 'post page' solution that will take care of all my previous and future post pages. Is that possible?

There is no global option available yet but I believe the developers are working on it.

Please read the docs before posting. Please do not private message me unless I ask you to.
