Unusual Feature Slides appeared... please help!

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am currently in the process of attempting to finish the structure of my StationPro theme based site, and whilst editing my feature boxes an extra slide has appeared on the front page, whilst not appearing in the admin feature setup area. Have a look at thisisthelastresort.com and on the front page, it is the number 3 slide that has appeared from nowhere. Any advice on how to remove this or why it may have popped up would be fantastic! Many thanks, Gareth

Hi Gareth, If you look at the feature setup options in the backend are there any other feature boxes appearing other than the three that you are using on the homepage? Try deleting the extra features to see if that will solve it. It look like the content that should be in the DJ mixes feature is being confused with the last feature named 4. You might also try deleting the DJ Mixes feature and recreating it. Cheers, -Kyle

Hi Kyle, thanks for the response! I have reset the settings to the default features, and then pasted the information back in once more.... however the problem has come up again doh! When I remove the DJ Mixes feature, the number 4 box changes to a number 3 strangely, even though there are no extra feature boxes in there. I have gone through each of the remaining boxes looking for any rogue code but alas, I can't seem to find any so I'm a bit stuck. Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks once again! Gareth

Hi Gareth, When you reset the features to their default did they display properly using the default feature boxes? It sounds like there is something in the features you are adding that is causing this to occur. If it only occurs when you are using your custom features there must be something in there that is causing the problem. Review your feature boxes again and you might try rewriting them by hand instead of pasting the same code that might be causing the problem. Cheers, -Kyle

I think I've got to the bottom of the problem now... it's when I add a hyperlink to the image in the feature is when the extra box arises. Is this a well known problem? I'm going to search for a different piece of code now to see if that helps. For reference the code that I'm adding in is as follows: Thanks! Gareth

Aha!!! Fixed it :) It appears that I needed to add in " target="_blank" into the code... awesome! Thanks for your help :) Gareth
