Putting an image into one of the footer siderbars

Hi, I want to put a grey map image of the uk with our office locations on a black background on the footer (not neccessarily a background). I've selected a 5 sidebar thingyme for the footer. The 4th column is nav bar set of links to the contact pages for the four offices and I want the fifth column to just have a map of Uk in it. I cant figure out the best way of getting a simple image in there. I've tried next gen gallery, with one slide...but I seem to get a constant circle...but just an image...is there a simple "add a picture" widget? These widgets are very difficult to get used to/ work with...

The easiest would be to use the text widget and do a simple < img src=" link " / > code (minus the spaces of course)

This plugin is avaialble for you if you do not want to place the code there: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/image-widget/screenshots/ But I think Tyler suggested is better because the less plugins you use the faster your pages load.
