Default Hide More Footer

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to globally set the More Footer and Twitter Box so that it is hidden UNLESS I select it? I find it very annoying to have to remember to check the Hide box every time I create a page or post...

Go inside your template setup area and remove the More Footer from each type of page you don't want it to show.

This is exactly what section control is for. Just go under 'template setup' > {select section} > 'advanced settings' > hide by default

@Bonnie I don't want them to be removed completely. There may be pages I want it to show on, just not all of them. @Andrew Okay, I guess I'm missing it... On the More Footer section, neither the MoreFoot sidebar nor Twitter Bar have advanced settings that I can find to hide by default... Going to each of the individual templates like default, Feature, etc, I don't even see where the MoreFoot sidebar or twitter bar is part of the template...

You'll see the advanced options in the actual drag and drop template setup area.

Can somebody post an image? I don't see any advanced setup for Morefoot sidebars or twitterbar that allows me to hide by default anywhere in the template settings section area.

Step #1: Go to your template setup: mwRir.png Mouse click over the bottom "Show Selection Description" which opens up the area showing what each section allows. Step #2: rxN9d.png At the bottom of each description is an area that says "Advanced Setup" which you need to click to open up. Step #3: P4iWs.png Check the box and save your template settings for each page template you don't want the morefooter to show up on. Good luck! --Bonnie

Now, see... that might be where the problem is... Mine don't have the advanced setup capabilities... All it shows is the description on my morefooter and twitter boxes... Strange.

@Mark, Wow strange... since all the rest of the sections above it, offer the "advanced setup." Have you tried loading a different theme and then reloading PagelinesPro to see if it appears? That's what I would do first, before I contacted support for help. --Bonnie

Yes. I tried that. And I'm using 1.3.3 on one site (new install), and 1.3.2 on another site (haven't upgraded it yet), and both work the same way. Its very strange.

Have you had any troubles with this before? Have you made any changes that might've caused this?

Honestly, I don't think I've ever been able to go to advanced settings for Twitter Bar or Morefoot sections since I've started using the Platform. In the past, all I've done is pulled them from the template into the inactive section area. But I'd like to use them, just not on every single page. Have I made any changes that might have caused it? Well... I suppose if I'm the only one with this problem, then I must have... lol. But its odd that it even exists like that on a new install. Ah well. I'll just live with it. Thanks all.

I haven't seen this problem before, but maybe another customer or moderator has. Perhaps someone else might have any ideas?
