Platform Pro + BuddyPress + Activity Stream on Homepage: Features

Does anyone know any tweaks that would be needed to get the following: Settings Front Page Displays > A static page > Activity Stream to work as a Feature Page (Template Area: Feature Page). i.e. we'd like Features and Boxes above Activity Stream. We're not averse to doing some hacking in PHP - we assume it's altering / adding to the /platformpro/activity files?

and the answer is: not to try. the same effect can be had by using a static page, set to a feature page, then use a sitewide activity BP plugin, and drop into Fullwidth Sidebar
