Footer - Logo = Questions..

I just removed the footer by this code

#footer{display:none}

and works great, now I only have 3 widgets left.. 2 problems though: 1) The pagelines logo is interfering with the widgets.. how can I remove that? 2) how can I get a full with footer bar kinda ting? Thanks, Ben
