password protect works on default template, but not box

I'd like to use the box template page for a password protected area, but it doesn't seem to work. Does fine if I use the default template. Any ideas? Thanks!

You are trying to require a login for the box section content area? Can you please describe in more detail?

Yes, I initially designed the page using the default template. Password protection worked fine. (I am also using the secondary nav on that page if it matters). So then I decided I'd rather use one of the box sets for that page, and so I chose the box page as the template. Once I did that, the page showed as public. When I switch it back to default template, the password protection works.

You'll probably need to use a more advanced way to password protect it. You could password protect it through your hosting account or use a plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/askapache-password-protect/ - this is a little heavy duty. I would first search WordPress plugins for something a little more light weight. Thanks, Bryan
