Voting On Boxes or Soapboxes

I'm looking to add a voting option to items I post to my site via either boxes or soapboxes. My end goal, is to post potential products, and have my viewers/community members, vote it in to existence. Am I looking at this the right way? Might there be another way to achieve my end goal besides a rating/voting add on? If not, any suggestions as to which plugin would integrate best with Platform Pro? Cheers!

There are many plugins out there for rating/voting...whether any of them are any good I have no idea, but is the premise of the boxes so that you can put the content side by side?

Exactly why I want to use boxes, put the items side by side, probably 3 columns across. Is there another way to do this possibly?

Well if you create a voting module would it have to link directly to these boxes? I don't see why it can't be independent and just reference the content of the boxes?

To be honest, I'm not sure. Getting slightly confused haha. What I want to do, is have products display side by side, in columns, and underneath each products picture have a rating/vote add on (stars or otherwise), and a link to further description of the item. I was thinking the correct way to achieve this with Platform would be with boxes that have ratings underneath, if you think something else would work better, I'm all ears!

I would use boxes, then put every inside that you need when editing. Create one and make it look good and then just copy that content/code and use it over and over for each box swapping out the info. I recommend this ratings plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/gd-star-rating/ Thanks, Bryan

Are you saying to add the GD star rating in to the banner itself?

Yes, I think that's what he's saying you can add anything you want there using Shortcodes, etc.. from the plugin

AHHHHH ok that makes sense now. Plus it leaves the star rating from cluttering up every other thing in my site haha. Thanks Bryan and Andrew!
