no dropdown navigation

Recommended Posts

I do not see the dropdown navigation on my (platformpro) website www.about2change.nl. It used to work. There should be a dropdown on the <evenementen> tab. I've read the discussions on navigation issues after the latest release, could this be related. * menu has been set-up under appearance * dropdown has been activated under header and nav settings. Could you help me out ? Gert

Hi Gert, What I've seen happen before is it's a JavaScript issue. (I see the code is being generated.) Do you have any plugins installed? If so, I would disable all of those, and see if the menu works then. If it does, then re-enable them one by one to find the culprit.

I have the same issue on a new installation without plugins. I have a page with child-pages, but the menu doesn't open. Wordpress 3.1, PlatformPro 1.3.2 UPDATE: I had a WP 3.1RC with PlatformPro 1.2.1 where 2-level nav was automatic for child pages, on another site with WP3.1 and PlatformPro 1.3.2 I had to enable dropdowns in settings AND add the child pages as child menu items in appearance > menu's. It works now, but child menu items are too wide.

Hi Sander, In Gert's case they were being generated in the HTML, but weren't displaying. For yourself, yes: that's definitely how you need to get the child menu items to appear for custom menus. You should be able to change the child menu width with CSS.

Having the same issue and read over the answers here but dropdowns still aren't working at all. Using WP 3.1.2 and PageLinesPro 1.4.0. All plugins are off (just the base install basic 2) and have tried every combo of the Header and Nav page options. Have my menu set up properly as well with some nested/child pages off each section as well. Just building it up now at http://d391554.u64.wclds16.com/ Thanks, Mike
