viveksweet 0 Report post Posted March 20, 2011 Hey guys, I created a new page based on a category from my blog posts.. The only thing is, I can't seem to change the page layout.. I mean I need a full screen page without the widgets etc. in this particular page but because it's made from a category I don't seem to be able to adjust anything... ?? viveksweet 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Well, I learned to live with it No seriously, I decided to have some widgets of my choice and it wasn't so bad actually.. I'm sure there is a way with CSS to do this.. I will set this topic back to unresolved for you so maybe someone can help you, actually us.. Ben
Kate 3 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Hey Ben, You would have to either a) edit the PHP file (hiding the sidebar if a category or particular category) or use CSS as you mentioned.
enmiljon 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 But isn't there any way to make a category the content of a page?
cmunns 16 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 ^^ Yes. You link directly to the category.
enmiljon 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2011 Okej but say I want my homepage to show category 1 and have a specifiv layout for that page, and then I want a page that show category 2 that also have a specifik layout. As I figure the only way to be able to have specifik layouts for category's is to include them in a page content. but how? this can be done by changing a page.template but I cant reach the content of the page template php documents in the editor
bryan-hadaway 3 Report post Posted March 22, 2011 You'd probably be best just creating pages for your different categories so you have control over them and then pull posts into the page. http://www.pagelines.com/forum/topic/6215 Thanks, Bryan
