I am at the last stage of developing my website. I am trying to transport from a USB photos (professionally taken) of my paintings. Downloaded from my file to a USB.I was told by a developer this could be done. Not happening. The media library flash uploader and browser uploader won't allow the transfer. For practice, I was able to transport a home photo from my Snapfish site without compression. The media library makes the attempt but then tells me it exceeds the size for this site or please try again. It is the same photo as from Snapfish.

Have you tried uploading your photos to the uploads folder in your theme folder instead? The folder should be under wp-content.
